Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Roofer role based in Wigan, working on new build developments across the North West. Day-to-day duties include installing on residential properties, fitting roof tiles and related materials to specification, and ensuring all work meets company quality standards and relevant building regulations. The role involves working at height, handling insulation and waterproofing systems, and coordinating with site managers, other trades, and team members to maintain safe, efficient site operations. The Roofer will also be expected to use appropriate tools and equipment, follow health and safety procedures, and contribute to the timely completion of projects and after-care work as required.
Qualifications
- Strong roofing skills, including experience with various roof types and materials, and understanding of roof structures.
- Experience with insulation installation and waterproofing techniques to ensure weather-tight and energy-efficient roofs.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and confidently at height, following all site safety protocols and regulations.
- Previous experience in new build or residential construction, with knowledge of relevant building standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills, with a reliable and safety-conscious approach.
- Relevant roofing or construction qualifications and certifications (e.g., NVQ in Roofing, CSCS card) are beneficial.
