As a Quality Engineer Manager at ProTec Group you will be responsible for goods in quality control via visual inspection and CMM (FARO) inspection for all parts. Coordinate the receipt, response and monitoring of quality concern reports from our customers. You will be the go-to person in respect to implementing containment actions, root cause analysis and permanent long-term actions.
The role will require you to provide technical support to production staff on quality requirements and participate in APQP, PPAP, FMEA and ProTec quality reporting systems.
You will be HNC qualified, have a Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive, and be competent in Faro Arm use and 8D problem solving.
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of ISO9001/ISO14001/IATF16949
- Must have a detailed understanding of metrology
- Be able to programme Faro Arm Polyworks software & Hexagon CMM bridge
- Interpretation of mechanical drawings (ISO Standard)
- Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances GD & T
- Liaising closely with suppliers & customers reviewing non-conformances
- Good problem resolution skills 8D/5 whys/Fishbone etc.
- Working closely with the NPI team to support new projects
- Providing technical engineering assistance to the wider Quality team
- Responsible for the Quality areas according to 5S method
- Identify and recommend potential improvements at the quality system, for example at the control plans, quality instructions, PFMEAs, in order to welcome lessons learned
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office

- Respond in a timely manner to Customers, Suppliers and Colleagues
- Document everything relating to Company activities and Projects in writing
- Represent the Company professionally at all times
- Report to Management on the performance of the QMS; on opportunities for improvement; on change requirements; on innovations
- Ensure the promotion of customer focus
- Ensure the integrity of the QMS is maintained
- Comply with the requirements of the ISO9001:2015 QMS / IATF 16949
