Fire and Security Project Engineer (Custodial)

Protec Fire and Security Group, a Bosch company, has opportunities for Fire & Security Project Engineers to work on and assist with the day-to-day project management of a new Fire Detection and Alarm Systems Project within a New Build Prison environment. With sound industry knowledge and previous experience, you will ensure efficient delivery and installation of challenging, fast-paced Custodial projects.

  • Job Location: Northumberland, Market Harborough, Newmarket, and Lancaster

Contract Type: Full time

Dependent on experience and location

Hours: 40 hours per week

Typical Responsibilities

  • Handle projects from enquiry to completion.
  • Manage construction programmes and report accordingly.
  • Effectively manage installation works on-site while liaising with sub-contractors and clients.
  • Undertake relevant H & S duties, e.g., safe starts, toolbox talks, etc.
  • Liaise with manufacturing, design, and other relevant departments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Highlight problem areas and communicate effectively to relevant parties.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, practices, and specifications.
  • Complete Quality Assurance documentation and report snags to sub-contractors.
  • Delegate tasks to team members.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake commercial responsibilities on projects.
  • Perform any other duties appropriate to the position.
