An excellent and exciting opportunity for obtaining a position as a Sales Engineer within a well-established Sales Area covering the South West England for Protec Fire Detection PLC, which now forms part of the Bosch Group. The role will suit a self-motivated and enthusiastic candidate who wants to develop their career in Sales within our very successful team. The scope of the job includes the active pursuit of sales opportunities with clients across the defined sales area, incorporating system sales for both Protec manufactured Fire Alarm Products as Supply only, Supply & Commission or Supply, Install & Commission. In addition to Sales for Fire Alarm and other Life Safety Systems (i.e. Voice Alarm / Refuge Alarm / Evacuation Alarm Systems etc), there is the further opportunity associated with selling Security System installations.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Being a proactive member of the South West Sales Team.
- Be knowledgeable on Protec’s capabilities in respect to our products and services.
- Be aware of Protec’s core values and ensure these are upheld whilst carrying out your sales duties in respect to the representation of the company in every aspect when dealing with both Clients and Colleagues.
- Be actively engaged in the process of Sales and utilising the CRM (i.e. Making Sales Calls / Arranging Appointments, Tracking Opportunities, Updating your Sales Records and Notes via the CRM, Updating your Status Reports via the CRM, Forecasting Opportunities via the CRM).
- Achieve Sales against an identified target within a pre-defined sales territory.
- Develop professional relationships and look to maintain existing Client Sales (from reoccurring / repeat business through established and long-standing customer base).
- Develop new Clients and Sales Opportunities within your sales area.
- Carry out Specifier Selling via M&E Consultants, Local Authorities and End Clients etc.
- Be able to undertake Fire Alarm Designs and produce Supply Only / Supply and Commission Quotations.
- Provide ALL necessary support to electrical contractors who are purchasing Protec manufactured Fire Alarm equipment (or services), to assist with the smooth completion of their contract works.
- Carry out Site Surveys for small works enquiries, system upgrades or new systems within existing buildings, where required.
- Completion of tender and bid documentation.
- Liaise with our Client Design / Estimating Teams to develop schemes and associated quotations.
- Carry out System Demonstrations or Presentations.
- General attendances as may be required specifically for discussing enquiries, reviewing quotations, carrying out pre-let meetings (in conjunction with our Project / Commercial team).
- Management of client accounts and liaising with credit control to ensure that client accounts are successfully managed and this helps to avoid accounts from being placed on stop.
- Any other duties commensurate with your position.
