Typical Responsibilities:
- Assisting an experienced engineer on the installation and commissioning of Fire Alarm and associated equipment at Manchester Airport, including both new systems and additions to existing systems.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of circuits and measuring devices and understanding and respecting electrical circuits, as well as undertaking training courses where necessary.
- Installation of cable management systems such as tray and trunking.
- Working within all Health and Safety guidelines, both site and company specific, to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.
- Ensuring a clean working environment and respecting clients’ premises at all times.
- Acting as a Company Ambassador, being smart in appearance, pleasant in attitude, and capable of communicating diplomatically to strengthen customer relationships.
- The safe and appropriate use of hand and powered tools when required.
- Any other duties commensurate with your position.

Qualifications:
- A full Electrical based qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ, ONC, HNC etc (Essential).
Experience:
- Experience of working within the Fire Alarm sector (Essential).
- A working knowledge of electrical circuits and measuring devices (Essential).
- Familiarity with safe working practices and Health & Safety requirements (Desirable).
Skills / Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills (Essential).
- Competent using technology such as laptops, measuring devices, smart phones etc (Essential).
- Ability to maintain accurate records whilst regularly submitting customer and company paperwork in a timely manner (Essential).
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team (Essential).
