Protec Fire and Security Group, a Bosch Company, have an opportunity for a Project Engineer (Rail Sector). The Project Engineer (Fire Alarm, Electronic Security and Life Safety Systems) is to work on and assist with the day to day project management of a new Fire Detection and Alarm Systems Projects in the rail sector. With a sound knowledge and previous experience in the fire and security industry, you will ensure efficient project delivery and installation of challenging, fast paced rail projects.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to handle projects from enquiry to completion.
- Ability to manage a construction programme and report accordingly.
- To effectively manage the installation works on site whilst liaising with both sub-contractors and clients.
- Undertaking of relevant H & S duties ie safe starts, tool box talks etc.
- Liaise with manufacturing, design and other relevant departments to ensure timely delivery.
- Ability to highlight any problem areas ensuring they are effectively communicated to the relevant parties.
- Ensuring compliance with codes, practices, and specifications.
- To complete Quality Assurance documentation ensuring works are of the appropriate standard and report snags to sub-contractors.
- Ability to delegate tasks to team members.
- Willingness to learn and undertake commercial responsibilities on projects.
- Any other duties commensurate with your position.
