Protec Fire and Security Group, a Bosch Company, has an opportunity for a Project Engineer (Rail Sector). The Project Engineer (Fire Alarm, Electronic Security and Life Safety Systems) is to work on and assist with the day‑to‑day project management of new Fire Detection and Alarm Systems Projects in the rail sector. With a sound knowledge and previous experience in the fire and security industry, you will ensure efficient project delivery and installation of challenging, fast‑paced rail projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to handle projects from enquiry to completion.
  • Ability to manage a construction programme and report accordingly.
  • Effectively manage the installation works on site whilst liaising with both sub‑contractors and clients.
  • Undertake relevant H&S duties such as safe starts, toolbox talks, etc.
  • Liaise with manufacturing, design and other relevant departments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Highlight any problem areas ensuring they are effectively communicated to the relevant parties.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, practices, and specifications.
  • Complete Quality Assurance documentation ensuring works are of the appropriate standard and report snags to sub‑contractors.
  • Delegate tasks to team members.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake commercial responsibilities on projects.
  • Any other duties commensurate with your position.
