Teamwork Partnership is seeking a skilled Technical Manager with a background in the food industry to join one of their client's teams in the Bedford Area. The ideal candidate will oversee technical operations within the establishment, ensuring smooth functioning and high-quality service and production delivery. The suitable candidate shall have strong leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise technical staff and provide guidance on daily tasks
- Manage technical aspects of food production and preparation
- Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs
- Implement health and safety protocols in line with industry standards
- Collaborate with culinary and restaurant teams to enhance operational efficiency
- Responsible with the Site Operations Manager for the Food Defence Programme, including documentation, training organization, vulnerability assessment, and close outs.
- Keep abreast of legal requirements, the latest industry guidelines, and scientific information, implementing them on site.
- Organize and document Site Meetings, including monthly management meetings, quarterly KPI/target reviews, annual management reviews, and HACCP meetings. Communicate site targets to all staff members.
- Ensure a documented Maintenance plan is in place to guarantee product safety and legality, including preventative maintenance plans and ongoing verification audits.
- Ensure adequate Training is ongoing in the FSQ Team, with defined roles documented via a maintained skills matrix that forms the basis of a training plan.
- Manage the Site Hygiene System, ensuring the site is equipped with the necessary training, equipment, and chemicals to meet required hygiene levels.

- Previous experience in a technical role within the FMCG industry
- Knowledge of food production processes and equipment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and strong leadership abilities
