HGV Driver class 1 – Days or Afternoons (Permanent – January 2026) Position with Protea USA, Inc.
Shifts: Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday (early mornings and afternoons). Night shifts are available within patterns.
Location: In person.
Responsibilities
- Daily vehicle checks and reporting of vehicle defects to ensure fleet is always in top condition.
- Keeping vehicles clean and maintaining temperature controls in line with delivery specifications.
- Carrying out customer deliveries and collections on time and in full.
- Maintaining strict compliance with EU Tachograph regulations and working time directives.
- Adhering to all Health and Safety policies at Oakland International and all sites visited.
- Liaising with the Transport Office promptly to address any issues.
- Supporting the Warehouse team as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues and customers, fostering a respectful and supportive environment.
Experience & Qualifications
- Valid C+E driving licence with CPC and Tacho Card.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transportation best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
