I’m supporting a well-established and growing food manufacturer in County Down who are looking to recruit a Production Manager to join their site leadership team. This is a key role within the business, responsible for overseeing day-to-day production, leading a large team, and driving a culture of high performance, quality, and safety.
This would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a solid background in food manufacturing, and enjoys being close to the shop floor.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily production across multiple departments
- Plan and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance
- Support and develop your team through effective coaching and training
- Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency
- Work closely with technical, engineering, and planning teams to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure all equipment and processes run safely and efficiently
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role in food manufacturing
- Strong people management skills and the ability to build a motivated team
- Confident working in a high-care, high-volume environment
- Good understanding of food safety, health & safety, and quality standards
