Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Poultry Farm Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a busy poultry farm. This role would suit someone with a background in poultry or animal husbandry who is looking to take the next step into a supervisory position. You will play a key role in maintaining bird welfare, supporting production targets, and ensuring high standards of biosecurity and farm management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day running of the poultry farm, including bird handling, feeding, and general welfare
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and biosecurity across the site
- Monitor environmental conditions to ensure optimal bird health and performance
- Assist in delivering efficient production and high-quality output
- Record and track bird health, feed consumption, and production data
- Support staff scheduling, training, and day-to-day supervision when required
- Work with suppliers and contractors to ensure feed, equipment, and materials are available
- Carry out routine inspections of buildings and equipment and report maintenance needs
- Use data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support coordination of production and dispatch requirements

- Experience within poultry, farming, or animal husbandry
- Understanding of bird welfare, biosecurity, and farm operations
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
