Protea Recruitment isn't your typical recruitment agency and we're proud of that. No KPI obsession. No micromanagement. We hire adults, trust them, and give them the freedom to actually enjoy their job. We're growing and looking for a Recruitment Consultant who can support the team and confidently hunt for new business.
If you love building relationships but also get a buzz from picking up the phone and winning clients, you'll fit right in.
What you'll do:
- Manage your own desk with genuine autonomy
- Support the wider team with your experience, ideas, and energy
- Pick up the phone confidently; winning new business is essential
- Build real relationships with clients and candidates across the UK (and further afield)
- Bring your own style to the role; bonus points if you've worked with manufacturing clients, but it's not essential
What we offer:
- Hybrid working with flexibility built in
- A supportive, grown-up culture built on trust, humour, and collaboration
- Great little bonuses along the way
- A strong commission structure that rewards success
- Freedom from pointless KPIs and outdated agency pressure
- The chance to help shape a company doing recruitment differently
Who you are:
- A recruiter with a couple of years proven experience within the role of Recruitment Consultant (agency)
- Specialist Recruiter / Niche Agency; in-house may not work as we need proven experience that you are a hunter
- Someone who values relationships but isn't shy about business development
- Confident picking up the phone and creating opportunities
- Ideally familiar with manufacturing recruitment but we're open-minded
- Ready for a role where you're treated like an adult, not a KPI statistic
If you're tired of old-school recruitment and want to work somewhere that actually gets people while still enjoying the thrill of winning new business, we'd love to hear from you.
We don't have the facility to offer any sponsorship now or in the future.
