Supplier Approval Manager – Agricultural Supply Chain

Location: Kent (with regular UK travel)

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + benefits

The Role

We are looking for a Supplier Approval Manager to oversee and support a network of agricultural suppliers. The role involves carrying out supplier audits and visits to ensure compliance with welfare, biosecurity, and food safety standards. Alongside auditing, you will work closely with suppliers, offering advice and guidance to help them improve and maintain high standards.

This is a role that combines compliance with relationship management. You will be the main point of contact for suppliers, building strong partnerships across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the supplier approval process
• Carry out supplier audits and site visits
• Ensure compliance with relevant welfare, food safety, and industry standards
• Provide advice and support to suppliers to help them improve
• Build strong working relationships and act as account manager for suppliers
• Monitor supplier performance and follow up on any non-conformance
• Support external audits and customer visits

Skills & Experience

• Background in supplier approval, farm assurance, auditing, or technical compliance
• Knowledge of industry assurance schemes (e.g., Red Tractor, RSPCA Assured or similar)
• Experience of auditing (qualifications desirable)
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Organised, practical, and able to manage a varied workload
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly

• £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience
• Base office in Kent
• Regular UK travel required
