An exciting opportunity has arisen for an NPD Technologist to join a fast-paced and growing food manufacturing business. This role will play a key part in developing innovative, commercially viable products from concept through to launch, working closely with internal teams and external customers.
You will be responsible for managing multiple development projects, ensuring products meet customer expectations, technical standards, and operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Support the end-to-end NPD process from concept through to launch
- Develop and refine recipes in line with customer briefs and market trends
- Plan and coordinate factory trials, ensuring successful scale-up
- Work cross-functionally with Technical, Operations, and Commercial teams
- Ensure all products meet food safety, quality, and legal requirements
- Manage critical paths and ensure projects are delivered on time
- Assist with customer presentations and product submissions
- Maintain accurate documentation including specifications and reports
- Experience within an NPD or food development role in FMCG
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes (ideally chilled)
- Knowledge of retailer requirements and standards (e.g. BRCGS, HACCP)
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Passion for food innovation and product development
