The Opportunity
We are working with a growing food manufacturer supplying retail and foodservice customers across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, the business is now seeking a Sales Account Manager to support and grow key customer relationships while helping drive commercial performance across multiple channels.
This role is suited to a commercially minded professional with experience in FMCG or food manufacturing, who enjoys managing customer relationships, supporting growth initiatives and working closely with internal teams.
Role Overview
The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned customer accounts, supporting sales growth, margin delivery and service performance. The role will involve close collaboration with internal teams including NPD, Operations, Technical and Finance to ensure excellent customer delivery and commercial execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day relationships with assigned retail, foodservice and B2B customers
- Support the delivery of customer-specific commercial plans and growth initiatives
- Assist with forecasting, pricing, promotions and margin management
- Support the delivery of new product launches and customer-specific NPD
- Prepare and present customer data, sales reports and performance reviews
- Support joint business planning activity and customer meetings
- Work cross-functionally to ensure customer service, supply and delivery targets are met
- Assist with tenders, proposals and account reviews
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer data
- Support customer visits, audits and commercial reviews
Candidate Profile
- Experience in a sales or account management role within FMCG or food manufacturing
- Strong commercial awareness and numerical ability
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- Organised and detail-focused, able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
- Strong Excel and reporting capability
