A leading FMCG manufacturing site in Kent is seeking an electrically‑biased Maintenance Engineer to join its high‑performance operations team. This is a full‑time, permanent role on fixed shifts, offering stability, strong earning potential, and the chance to work with modern high‑speed production and packaging equipment. We’re specifically looking for multi‑skilled engineers with strong electrical fault‑finding capability, ideally with hands‑on experience across pharmaceutical, personal care, filling lines, canning lines, bottling lines, or similar high‑speed packaging machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across high‑speed production equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults quickly to minimise downtime
- Support continuous improvement projects to enhance line performance and reliability
- Work closely with production teams to optimise machine efficiency and reduce waste
- Complete engineering documentation, maintenance logs, and compliance records
- Assist with equipment changeovers, setups, and mechanical adjustments
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards and site procedures
- Contribute to root cause analysis and long‑term engineering solutions

- Location: Kent
- Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
- Shifts: Fixed Monday–Friday (40 hours)
- Early: 5am–2pm (may change)
- Late: 2pm–11pm (may change)

Requirements
- Strong engineering background within FMCG manufacturing
- Electrical‑biased multi‑skilled engineer with solid mechanical capability
- Confident with electrical fault finding (sensors, motors, drives, control panels, PLC I/O)
- Hands‑on experience with canning lines, bottling lines, filling lines, or other high‑speed packaging machinery
- Ability to work independently on a fixed shift pattern
- Solid understanding of health & safety and engineering compliance
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
