I’m supporting a well-established and growing food manufacturer in County Down who is looking to recruit a Production Manager to join their site leadership team. This is a key role within the business, overseeing day-to-day production, leading a large team, and driving a high-performance, quality, and safety culture.

This would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a solid background in food manufacturing, and enjoys being close to the shop floor.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily production across multiple departments
  • Plan and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance
  • Support and develop your team through effective coaching and training
  • Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency
  • Work closely with technical, engineering, and planning teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Ensure all equipment and processes run safely and efficiently

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role in food manufacturing
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to build a motivated team
  • Confident working in a high-care, high-volume environment
  • Good understanding of food safety, health & safety, and quality standards

  • Lean manufacturing experience
