An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager to join a growing commercial team within a fast-moving food manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone a few years post-graduate with experience supporting or managing customer accounts within the food industry, who is now ready to take more ownership and progress their commercial career.

Working closely with the Commercial Manager and cross-functional teams, you will help develop customer relationships, support account performance, and contribute to business growth across retail and food manufacturing customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and management of customer accounts within the food manufacturing sector
  • Assist in driving sales growth, margins, and overall account performance
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates
  • Support promotional planning and commercial activity with customers
  • Attend and contribute to customer review meetings
  • Manage customer questionnaires, store visits, audits, and service level agreements
  • Liaise closely with NPD, Technical, and Production teams on product development and launches
  • Support proposal writing and responses to customer enquiries
  • Arrange and attend customer and prospective client meetings
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects and commercial initiatives
  • Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional manner
  • Carry out additional reasonable duties as required
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree in a relevant discipline or at least 2–3 years’ relevant experience
  • Experience within the food manufacturing industry
  • Exposure to customer or account management, commercial support, or sales roles
  • Retail or major customer experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident working cross-functionally with internal teams
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Flexible approach to working hours when required
