A fast‑growing international business operating across the UK and Europe is seeking a proactive Finance Executive – Manufacturing & Reporting to support day‑to‑day accounting operations, management reporting, cashflow activity and financial analysis.
This role combines transactional finance responsibilities with exposure to forecasting, invoice factoring, multi‑entity reporting and cross‑functional collaboration within a manufacturing environment.
The position is ideal for someone with 2–4 years’ experience who is confident taking ownership, working to tight deadlines, and contributing to the financial performance of a dynamic organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger across UK and European entities
- Perform monthly reconciliations of sales, purchase, bank and control accounts
- Analyse sales ledger performance month‑on‑month and year‑on‑year
- Handle multi‑currency transactions (GBP, USD, EUR) and related FX considerations
- Manage and reconcile invoice factoring facilities
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to the factoring provider
- Forecast factoring requirements aligned with revenue and cashflow projections
- Support short‑term cashflow management and cash forecasting
- Management Accounts & Financial Reporting
- Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
- Build and maintain P&L forecasts and budgets
- Support monthly financial performance analysis
- Prepare and maintain stock reconciliations for UK and European operations
- Tax, Audit & Statutory Support
- Prepare VAT returns for France and the Netherlands
- Support external accountants with year‑end processes
- Liaise with auditors and assist with audit preparation and documentation
- Cross‑Functional Support
- Work closely with Supply Chain teams across the UK and Europe
- Provide financial insight and support to internal departments
- Assist with ad‑hoc projects as the business continues to grow
Experience & Skills Required
- 2–4 years’ experience in finance, accounts or accounting
- Strong experience managing Sales and Purchase Ledgers
- Solid understanding of reconciliations, accounting fundamentals and month‑end processes
- Ability to work to tight monthly deadlines
- Confident Excel skills (formulas, lookups, reconciliations)
- Comfortable working with multiple currencies
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience using Sage 200 or similar ERP/accounting systems
- Exposure to management accounts, forecasting or financial analysis
- Experience within multi‑entity or international environments
- Experience working in manufacturing, ideally FMCG or food production
- Familiarity with AI automation tools to improve productivity
