Senior Client Manager | Bexhill, East Sussex | 55,000 to 75,000 | HybridA genuine right-hand role to a Managing Partner, with a clear route to Associate Partner and Partner.My client is a growing accountancy and advisory firm with a well-established office in Bexhill. The office has a strong local reputation built over many years and looks after owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and private clients across East Sussex, Kent and the wider south-east. It’s a close-knit team, backed by a much larger firm offering tax, corporate finance, wealth and outsourced finance services.They’re now looking for a Senior Client Manager to work directly alongside the Managing Partner. You’ll be the person she relies on day to day, for client work and for the team.What you’ll be doingYou’ll take day-to-day responsibility for a portfolio of around 200,000 to 250,000 in fees, with the Managing Partner keeping overall partner responsibility. You’ll be the main contact for your clients and review accounts, corporation tax and personal tax work before signing off within your authority.Beyond that, you’ll:Look after client matters when the Managing Partner is awayManage workflow, deadlines, WIP, billing and debtorsSpot advisory opportunities such as tax planning, cash extraction and succession, and connect clients with specialist colleagues across the firmMeet prospective clients and prepare proposals and fee quotesSupervise, coach and develop the team, from juniors to seniors, including trainees with their studiesReview and allocate work for the firm’s offshore team, helping them grow technically and work as one with the UK sideHelp lead the firm’s move towards more automation and AI-assisted workflowsWhat they’re looking forACA, ACCA or equivalentAt least five years in practice, including supervising a teamStrong owner-managed business background across accounts, personal tax and corporation tax, with sound FRS 102 knowledgeConfidence to make decisions and sign work off rather than passing everything up the lineComfortable with practice technology and AI tools, or keen to get to grips with themExperience of working with offshore teams, or a real openness to itAudit experience is helpful but not essentialWithin a reasonable commute of BexhillWhy it’s a good moveProgression is based on performance, not time served.
