Oxfordshire area, 2 days per week. A well-established and friendly accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Personal Tax Consultant to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for a qualified tax professional who enjoys client interaction and wants to be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team. You will be working autonomously, handling a portfolio of personal tax clients, and using your knowledge to provide expert advice and accurate tax return preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage approximately 160 personal tax returns annually
- Respond to client tax queries clearly and professionally
- Provide proactive tax planning advice
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and compliance in all work
- Liaise directly with clients and build trusted working relationships
What We’re Looking For
- ATT qualified (or equivalent), or former HMRC background in personal tax
- Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Excellent knowledge of UK personal tax legislation
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
Desirable Extras
- Experience with CGT computations and trust returns
- Exposure to both personal and corporate tax
- Familiarity with systems such as IRIS, QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage
