The role:
As a general practice manager, you’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of SME clients, delivering year-end accounts, tax compliance, and advisory services. You\’ll play a hands-on role in client communication, team management, and driving service excellence across the board.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services
Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts under FRS102, FRS102A, and FRS105
Completing corporation tax computations and CT600s
Overseeing VAT return reviews
Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of accountants and admin staff
Contributing to business development and identifying growth opportunities
Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal processes
Acting as the main point of contact for key client relationships
About you:
ACA/ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP
Comfortable managing full accounts production through to final sign-off
Confident communicator – with both clients and team members
Organised, proactive, and deadline-driven
A natural leader and team player, eager to mentor junior staff
Commercially aware and keen to grow with the firm
