Responsibilities:
- Reporting to and working alongside associate/partner
- Reviewing work and finalising accounts, tax returns, letters and fees to a standard and sending them directly to the client
- Reviewing client and HMRC correspondence and drafting responses or communicating directly with the client
- Assisting with ad hoc advisory matters, such as financial forecasts, incorporation and management accounts
- Dealing with ad hoc client queries/advice (tax, Xero, etc.)
- Managing the team with regards to training, attendance and holiday
- Overseeing the workflow of the team
- Competent use of accountancy and taxation software – Xero, CCH, Excel, Word
- Maintaining a professional working relationship with both clients and colleagues
Skills required:
- Qualified ACA or ACCA
- Confidentiality
- Experience of supervising and training staff
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Good IT skills
Salary and benefits:
- Competitive salary of 45,000 - 55,000 (dependent on experience)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Private Health insurance
- Pension contribution increased to 5% after 2 years
