Some practices want a Client Manager to chase billing. This one wants you to do the actual work, look after your clients properly, and be trusted to get on with it.

A fast-growing, independent practice in Eastbourne is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified Client Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of owner-managed business clients. The firm has grown quickly through both organic expansion and acquisition, and this is a genuine investment in the next phase.

It's a senior, hands-on role sitting between the delivery team and the director. Billing is handled centrally, so your focus stays on delivery quality, client relationships and doing work you can be proud of. No hard sell, no micromanagement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing a portfolio of SME clients as their day-to-day contact
  • Preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax, VAT, CIS and personal tax
  • Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts and talking clients through them
  • Spotting advisory opportunities and supporting director-level discussions
  • Mentoring junior staff and helping improve processes across the firm

What's on offer:

  • Base salary of £50,000, plus a quarterly performance bonus (or £55,000 flat with no bonus, your choice)
  • Long-term commission on clients you personally introduce
  • Real autonomy and clear progression as the firm grows
  • Potential move to a 4-day week longer term for sustained strong performers
  • Parking, laptop and mobile from day one, private healthcare after probation
  • A modern, Xero-focused practice with strong systems already in place

If you want a senior client role with proper responsibility and the freedom to do it well, this is worth a conversation.
