On behalf of our client, a reputable and growing organisation, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support the operational day-to-day running of a busy finance function. This role is ideal for a qualified finance professional who enjoys team leadership, process oversight, and hands-on financial control.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency across core finance operations, supporting both strategic reporting and team development.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all day-to-day accounting activities, including responsibility for outsourced payroll
- Review and authorise purchase invoices, supplier reconciliations, and payment runs
- Maintain oversight of monthly reconciliations for key Balance Sheet accounts, payroll, and fee income
- Support the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts and KPIs
- Assist with the annual budgeting process and ongoing reforecasting
- Holds a recognised accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Advanced user of Excel and comfortable working with financial software systems
- Highly numerate with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Confident driving process improvements and adapting to change
- Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, able to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
