Accounts Manager / Senior Manager Ashford, Kent Location: Ashford, Kent Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Contract: Permanent, full time Qualification: ACA or ACCA, part-qualified or qualified by experience If you've spent years in practice, know FRS 102 inside out and are the person the team comes to for a proper review, this Ashford role gives you your own clients, a team to develop and a close working relationship with the partners. ABOUT THE FIRM My client is an established Ashford practice that's part of a national accountancy group. It looks after a broad mix of small and medium-sized businesses, with a local team that knows its clients well and the backing of a bigger organisation behind it. THE ROLE You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, completing and reviewing a wide range of accounts and being the main point of contact. A big part of the job is reviewing the accounts team's work, giving useful feedback and helping people develop. You'll also work closely with the partners, supporting them day to day, so your voice will be heard. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Managing your own portfolio of SME clients Completing and reviewing a wide variety of accounts Reviewing the accounts team's work and owning the quality of what goes out Giving feedback and developing the team Meeting clients and taking ownership of the relationship Supporting the partners with day-to-day matters Keeping work on track against deadlines and internal budgets WHO THIS WILL SUIT ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience At least 5 years' recent experience in a similar practice role Strong knowledge of FRS 102, including Section 1A Confident reviewing work and developing others Comfortable leading client meetings WHAT'S ON OFFER Qualified by experience welcome, so your practice track record counts Close working relationship with the partners A team to lead and develop 24-hour GP access and an Employee Assistance Programme Death in service at 4x salary Green car scheme, cycle to work and staff discounts GET IN TOUCH If you're an experienced accounts manager in Kent and fancy a role with real ownership, I'd love to hear from you.
