Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant, Technician or Semi-Senior looking for a new challenge within a supportive and growing accountancy firm? This well-established independent practice, with a modern and friendly Southwick office, is expanding and looking for an enthusiastic Accounts professional to join the team. This is a varied and hands-on role ideal for someone with solid experience in practice who enjoys working closely with a wide range of clients.
The Role:
- Supporting the preparation of accounts and tax returns for a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Building great client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the Southwick office.
- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Assisting with the preparation of corporation and personal tax returns.
- Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation.
- Supporting clients with day-to-day queries and cloud accounting software.
- Liaising with managers and partners to ensure timely delivery of work.
About You:
- Experience in a UK accountancy practice is essential.
- AAT qualified or studying, or qualified by experience.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts prep, and VAT.
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks etc.).
- A positive attitude, good attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
