The Role:
Our client, a well-established and friendly accountancy practice based in Bexhill, is looking for a confident and capable bookkeeper to join their growing team. Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you’ll provide high-quality bookkeeping services and play a key role in supporting the wider accounts function.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients across a range of industries

Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals

Bank reconciliations and VAT returns

Prepare and submit data using Xero and QuickBooks

Liaise with clients directly and provide guidance when needed

Work closely with other team members to support client delivery

Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements and deadlines
About You:

Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is essential

Strong working knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks

Excellent attention to detail and good time management skills

Able to work both independently and as part of a team

AAT qualification (or similar) would be beneficial but not essential
