The role
As a general practice manager, you’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of SME clients, delivering year-end accounts, tax compliance, and advisory services. You\\\’ll play a hands-on role in client communication, team management, and driving service excellence across the board.
Key responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts under FRS102, FRS102A, and FRS105
- Completing corporation tax computations and CT600s
- Overseeing VAT return reviews
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of accountants and admin staff
- Contributing to business development and identifying growth opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal processes
- Acting as the main point of contact for key client relationships
About you
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP
- Comfortable managing full accounts production through to final sign-off
- Confident communicator – with both clients and team members
- Organised, proactive, and deadline-driven
- A natural leader and team player, eager to mentor junior staff
- Commercially aware and keen to grow with the firm
