What the job involves:

We’re looking for a Business Improvement Executive to join our Fundraising Directorate on a fixed term contract for 12 months. This role supports our fundraising teams by keeping core processes, data and performance tracking running smoothly, helping campaigns to be delivered efficiently and with a great supporter experience. You’ll play a hands‑on role in the day‑to‑day running of fundraising campaigns, helping to troubleshoot process or reporting issues, manage updates to performance tracking, and make sure changes are introduced with minimal disruption. Alongside this, you’ll work on a range of improvement projects that focus on finding more effective ways of working, improving existing processes and strengthening how we use data and platforms across the team. Working closely with colleagues in Fundraising, Technology, Digital and Data, you’ll help review and improve internal and third‑party processes, advise on new data management approaches, and support the effective and consistent use of our fundraising platforms and systems. You’ll also be involved in ad‑hoc analysis and reporting, as well as managing some recurring data processes that sit outside the core data function. Throughout everything you do, you’ll help ensure our data is accurate, well managed and handled in line with data protection requirements, supporting the Mass Fundraising team to continue its strong income growth and ambitious strategic goals.

What we want from you:

We’re looking for a Business Improvement Executive who is a natural problem solver who enjoys getting to the root of an issue and finding practical, workable solutions. You’ll bring a strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset, and you’re always looking for ways to improve how things are done. You’re quick to pick up new concepts, systems and technologies, and feel comfortable adapting to change. Being a clear communicator, you’ll enjoy working with a wide range of people and priorities, and you’re able to explain more technical ideas in a way that makes sense to non‑technical audiences. You’re happy working with data and using Excel as part of your day‑to‑day role. Experience with tools such as Power Query would be useful but isn’t essential. You’ll also either have some working knowledge of mass fundraising or be keen and able to build this understanding quickly by immersing yourself in a new area. If you enjoy working with data, processes and people, and want to play a part in improving how our fundraising campaigns are delivered, this could be the role for you!

Why work with us?

Every man needs to know about the most common cancer in men – prostate cancer. It’s a real and present danger that takes over 12,000 of our dads, grandads, brothers and friends each year. Prostate Cancer UK is the largest men’s health charity in the UK. We have a simple ambition – to stop prostate cancer damaging lives. We invest millions in research to revolutionise testing, treatment and care. We’re blazing a trail to a screening programme that could save thousands of lives with regular, accurate tests for all men at risk. And we work tirelessly to spread the word about risk and offer specialist support to people living with the disease. Work with us and you’ll see your efforts pay off as we give men and their families the power to navigate prostate cancer.

What we offer:

  • Generous leave entitlements that increase with service
  • One ‘development day’ a month to use for training or personal development
  • Enhanced contributory pension scheme
  • Life insurance and group income protection
  • Health Cash Plan
  • Life and wellbeing advice and support via our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Discounted gym membership and high street shopping discounts
  • Loans for season tickets or cycles

This role is in salary Band 2B, with a starting salary of £32,250 - £34,750 per year. We aim to pay the median salary for charity the sector. Following 12 months of successful service, colleagues will move to the midpoint of the pay band. The midpoint salary for this role is £34,750. Our salaries reflect that the London office is our contractual place of work. We also pay a working‑from‑home allowance at the HMRC tax‑free rate of £312 per year. We are committed to paying at least the London Living Wage for all roles and apply the updated rate each April.

Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion:

At Prostate Cancer UK we’re committed to righting health inequalities across the UK, starting with those faced by Black men. This includes ground‑breaking research into Black men's risk and working with communities directly to overcome barriers to the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. To make this happen, we’re dedicated to being an inclusive, proactive organisation, as we strive to be Allies to Black communities. We’ll achieve this by advocating and working alongside those communities to promote change. We’re also working to be Allies to each other, not only protected groups. In 2024, we launched our New Allyship Training Programme. All colleagues at Prostate Cancer UK will be trained to act and identify as an Ally. We’ve also signed Business in the Community’s Race at Work Charter, as a dedication to our Black health equity work and wider EDI priorities.

Our people networks:

We’re continuously learning more about the needs of our colleagues, and have three amazing People Networks, sponsored by our Leadership team:

  • Pride – A safe space where LGBTQ+ colleagues – and our allies – can share their diverse lived experiences, celebrate LGBTQ+ culture and history, and create new ideas about how our organisation can be more inclusive and representative of LGBTQ+ people
  • Mind and Body – Here to increase awareness, promote wellbeing and support colleagues affected by neurodiversity, mental health problems, disability and long‑term illness
  • Culture Club – Here to increase awareness and celebrate the different cultures and beliefs that we have in the organisation, so that we all have our cultures felt and feel welcomed

How and where we work:

Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part‑time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision‑making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs. Additional in‑person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues. We trust colleagues to work flexibly while balancing personal commitments with the needs of the charity, and we are committed to making reasonable adjustments for colleagues with a disability, neurodiversity, or a long‑term physical or mental health condition.

The closing date is Sunday 23rd August 2026. Applications must be submitted by 23:45 UK time. Interviews: By arrangement. Currently scheduled for the week of Monday 7th September 2026. We look forward to receiving your application!
