Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing a range of duties related to pre transfusion, antenatal, and diagnostic testing, and the issue of blood and blood products for clinical purposes.
- Responding immediately in emergency situations for patients in need.
- Being directly involved in patient care, making a difference every day.
- Working as part of a well-established team of Scientists and Technicians committed to quality service, high standards, and patient wellbeing.
- Participating fully in a 24-hour, 7-day roster.
About You
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- Registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand, or be a new graduate seeking provisional registration.
- A positive attitude and commitment to patient care.
- Flexibility to fully participate in a 24-hour, 7-day per week roster.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to take responsibility.
- Ability to multi-task, work collaboratively, and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a Blood Bank is preferred but not essential.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary between $71,070 and $107,600, depending on skills, experience, and registration.
