Reprographics Co-ordinator Location: Nottingham Salary: DOE Company: One of UK\’s largest packaging manufacturer. Role: Working on carton packaging files for the food industry, litho print process. Our client is looking for a Reprographics Co-ordinator to join their team in Nottingham. A support role for the Reprographics Department being a backup and assistant to the Reprographics Manager along with supporting other areas of the Department during holidays and pinch points. Ability to follow production instructions and to operate all necessary systems and procedures that is relative to the job and Dept. within the companies procedures for Health & Safety, Food & Hygiene, Environment, ISO 9000, BRC Standards or any relevant procedure. * Working with the Repo Manager in receiving new files into the department, on-line checks for printability and approval. * Being a contact point for other departments to facilitate job problem solving. * Covering in the platemaking department where needed for checking proofs prior to plates and making of plates. * Working with the Artpro operators to prioritize workload and meet the demands of the production plan. * Where needed and based on skill set, producing files for platemaking from the received files, applying repro elements and stepping using Esko software. * To make sure the demand for plates is maintained at all times and this demand meets with the production plan. * To ensure that good communication exists between all involved parties thus enabling targets to be achieved. * To ensure safe working practices are operated and maintained within the Department in line with Health & Safety regulations / policies. * To ensure and adhere to good hygiene cleanliness checks, housekeeping and personal hygiene standards. * To use and record all necessary documentation as required by company procedures. * To represent the companies best interests when dealing with suppliers or other trade organisations. * To undertake training and development when required. Requirements: * Experience within a similar position as a reprographics co-ordinator / reprographics operator * Previous experience working within packaging * Outputting of plates using CTP system and operation of plate processor – desirable * Working knowledge / skills in Esko Artpro and Automation Engine – desirable * Experience of the print industry and processes i.e. flexo and digital * Computer literate – Microsoft Office * Accuracy and an eye for detail on checking files * Flexible, able to adapt to the organisation and its’ customers changing needs. * Good Team player and effective communicator, able to work with people at all levels of ability, and from different cultures & backgrounds and ability to work well as part of a team. * Our client is looking for a forward thinking individual who would like progression opportunities.
