A leading packaging and self-adhesive labels company is seeking a Pre Press Artworker for their Aylesbury location.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established company, predominately producing print ready files, working on food and beverage packaging and/or labels.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation/creation of artwork for digital & flexographic label printing production
  • Check all artworks supplied and prepare them for printing
  • Ensure artwork proofs are accurately created and proofed on time
  • Inputting accurate information into a Management Information System
  • Liaise with Prepress manager, customer services team and customers to ensure timelines are met
  • Work closely with the pre-press manager to plan jobs going into production
  • Order plates
  • Send jobs to the HP Indigo

Requirements:

  • Experience producing print ready artwork files
  • Previous / current experience working within packaging and labels
  • Repro experience
  • Knowledge of print processes such as digital, flexographic, hot foiling and screen printing
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
  • Good understanding of colour management software
  • Understanding of HP Indigo DFE - advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of workflow systems - advantageous
