A leading packaging and branding design agency is looking for a Project Manager / Design Planner to join their well-established team, performing a key role within one of their UK-based teams. The successful candidate will work within the client’s busy design studio, responsible for managing accounts and/or projects from initial concept to completion while ensuring exceptional client service.

  • Serves as a day-to-day contact
  • Agree & manage critical paths timelines for each packaging project and ensure project milestones fall within the agreed timelines/deadlines, highlighting risks
  • Sense check and challenge critical path timings working collaboratively with the PMs to ensure design is set up for success and aligned to overall project requirements
  • Ensure design work is briefed into the Design studio and work with the Design studio manager and lead Designer to meet design requirements in line with critical path timings
  • Work with other project management/planning roles/category to ensure all upcoming briefs and missing elements essential for design work are available and on time
  • Participate in meetings with existing clients and internal teams
  • Ensure high quality standards in all client deliverables
  • Coordinate client-specific projects throughout the lifecycle
  • Manage creative and technical projects from initial concept to completion, on time and budget
  • Create job briefs and book in jobs
  • Deal with client queries and complaints while project managing ongoing projects
  • Conduct on-screen meetings
  • Oversee artwork approvals

Requirements:

  • Packaging industry experience - FMCG experience preferred
  • Proven account/project management within an agency/design or packaging manufacturers
  • Technical knowledge of printing processes - print and packaging
  • Preferably retail or brand experience
  • Good understanding of design and artwork processes
  • Adaptive roll out experience - preferred
  • Team collaboration skills
  • Ability to coach/mentor account executives
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
