A leading packaging and labels company, based in Grimsby, is seeking a skilled digicon operator. Role:

  • Set up and operate Digicon machine
  • Operation of print finishing machinery with accuracy and efficiency
  • Monitor quality and consistency of products
  • Ink mixing as and when required
  • Adjust machine settings for correct registration, tension, and cutting accuracy
  • Monitor production to ensure quality and consistency
  • Inspect finished labels for defects such as misalignment, poor cuts, or coating issues
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
  • Troubleshoot finishing problems during production runs
  • Maintain production documentation and job records
  • Follow health & safety procedures within the production environment

Requirements:

  • Experience within the labels/print/packaging industry
  • Ideally experienced working on ABG Digicon previously
  • Knowledge of die-cutting, laminating, foiling, varnishing, and slitting processes
  • Ability to read job specifications and production sheets
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines for projects of various size and scope
  • Positive 'can do' customer focus and attitude
