This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled digicon operator to work for a company with many years in house experience, offering high quality packaging and labels solutions, and a company who heavily invests in the latest equipment.
Role:
- Set up and operate Digicon machine
- Operation of print finishing machinery with accuracy and efficiency
- Monitor quality and consistency of products
- Ink mixing as and when required
- Adjust machine settings for correct registration, tension, and cutting accuracy
- Monitor production to ensure quality and consistency
- Inspect finished labels for defects such as misalignment, poor cuts, or coating issues
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
- Troubleshoot finishing problems during production runs
- Maintain production documentation and job records
- Follow health & safety procedures within the production environment
Requirements:
- Experience within the labels/ print/ packaging industry
- Ideally experienced working on ABG Digicon previously
- Knowledge of die-cutting, laminating, foiling, varnishing, and slitting processes
- Ability to read job specifications and production sheets
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines for projects of various size and scope
- Positive "can do" customer focus and attitude
