Salary: DOE (Around £35K)

Role: The post holder will be responsible for the output of work allocated, within agreed time scales and to strict quality standards, thus ensuring that a quality product and service is provided to customers both internal and external.
- Produce the allocation of work detailed in the production/planning schedule for HP Indigo printing press.
- Responsible for maintaining HP Indigo press on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure that all work is produced to agreed copy and quality standards including colour matching using XRITE & ESKO software.
- Ensure all work is produced using specified materials and equipment taking responsibility for allocation, issue & return of raw material.
- Aim to achieve speed of production and productivity levels (estimated times).
- Produce all work using working practices that enable costs to be kept to a minimum.
- Produce all work employing best working practices and within the boundaries of legislation established by the HSE.
- Communicate at the earliest opportunity any quality or production problems, which would compromise the delivery or quality of the product to the customer.
- Ensure accurate completion of company administration and system requirements. Follow all 5’s requirements on-line making sure all weekly & daily actions are completed.
- Full responsibility for press, ancillary products and surrounding areas ensuring they are clean, tidy and maintained in accordance with housekeeping guidelines and following 5’s standards.
- Actively seek process improvements and cost savings initiatives throughout the business.
- Understand the Company Quality, Hygiene and Environmental Policies in relation to the relevant standards (specifically BS EN ISO 9001 & 14001) and actively promote these within the business.
- Material allocation based on 24 hour Production plan (including retrieving and returning material to RM Warehouse).
- Running ABG as and when required.
Requirements:
- Experience running HP Indigo machines.
- Ideally from a Packaging / Labels background but will consider other print including Large Format / Small Format etc.
- Experience within the labels/ print/ packaging industry preferred.
- Minimum of level 2/3 certificate in series 3 HP Indigo.
- Ideally technical knowledge of digital label printing, materials, and tooling (but training can be given).
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines for projects of various size and scope.
- Positive "can do" customer focus and attitude.
- Develop knowledge of materials available.
- Maintain operating procedures with attention to detail.
