A leading packaging and branding agency is seeking a senior packaging repro artworker to join their well-established company in Hull.
Role:
- Producing production-ready artwork files for print and digital channels.
- Building artwork files in adherence with the business' standard working practices and client's brand rules.
- Ensuring Right First Time quality performance is achieved.
- Collaborating with multiple functions to service the client.
- Creating print trial files and carrying out colour retouching/colour correction for all print disciplines.
- Owning the brand guidelines, including their creation, amendment, and periodical review.
- Ensuring brand consistency is maintained throughout the full project range across all production locations.
- Representing the artwork production team in the planning of projects.
- Leading the artist team in the completion of projects from receipt of brief to delivery of data within contractual KPI.
- Seeking ways to optimise processes to improve quality and delivery.
- Leading and supporting production initiatives.
- Guiding and advising less experienced members of the team.
- Delivering customer demonstrations.
- Participating in client meetings.
Requirements:
- Experience within packaging artwork production and reprographics environments.
- Use of software applications used in artwork packaging production such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office.
- Detailed understanding of print processes and reprographics application.
- Ability to adapt a design to different components/sizes in keeping with design intent.
- Ability to perform colour retouching for multiple print disciplines.
- Colour retouching/correction with special colours.
- Ability to visually inspect two samples and understand what retouching/corrections are needed to get the closest possible match.
- Ability to interpret complex guideline documents.
- Communication skills particularly listening, verbal, and written.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Team working skills.
