Company: Our client is a market leading organisation that provides protective corrugated and foam packaging products to a wide range of customers in the electronic, medical, and industrial market sectors. They are looking to strengthen their Design team with a high calibre professional Packaging Designer. Progression opportunities are available for the right candidate.
Role: This role has been created due to current company growth, projected growth plans, and the number of opportunities that have arisen.
- Creation of new concepts to meet packaging briefs.
- The ability to gain insight into design trends across different market segments to allow proactive approaches to customers and the markets they belong to.
- Awareness of the latest design tools and technologies to offer customers sustainable competitive advantages in proposals.
- Awareness of the latest marketing techniques and innovations to maximise the value added through design of products displayed on the shelf.
- Understanding of customer expectations and needs on the technical side of the business relationship to build appropriate design and technical solutions.
- Participation in customer meetings when required.
- Implement customer savings, complexity reduction, and/or harmonisation projects aligned to project briefs.
Requirements:
- Packaging design experience.
- CAD experience ideally.
- Experience with packages such as Adobe suite.
- Understanding of structural design principles, materials, and production methods in corrugated packaging is beneficial.
- Ability to present concepts.
- Well organised with a high level of attention to detail.
- Team player with the ability to interact and cooperate with the team.
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
- Individuals with high levels of energy, determination, and tenacity are a must.
