Company: Our client is a market leading organisation who provide protective corrugated and foam packaging products to a wide range of customers in the electronic, medical & industrial market sectors. Our client is now looking to strengthen their Design team with a high calibre professional Packaging Designer. Progression opportunities available for the right candidate.

Role: This role has been created due to current company growth, projected growth plans as well as the number of opportunities that have arisen.

  • Creation of new concepts to meet packaging briefs
  • The ability to gain an insight into design trends across different market segments to allow proactive approaches to our customers and the markets in which they belong
  • Awareness of the latest design tools and technologies in order to be able to offer our customers sustainable competitive advantages in our proposals
  • Awareness of the latest marketing techniques and innovations to maximise the value added through design of the products that will be displayed on the shelf
  • Understanding of customer expectations and needs on the technical side of our business relationship in order to build the most appropriate design and technical solutions
  • Participation in customer meetings when required
  • Implement our customer savings, complexity reduction and/or harmonisation projects aligned to project briefs

Requirements:

  • Packaging design experience
  • CAD experience ideally Impact
  • Experience of packages such as Adobe suite
  • Understanding of structural design principles, materials, and production methods in corrugated packaging beneficial
  • Ability to present concepts
  • Well organised with a high level of attention to detail
  • Team player with the ability to interact and cooperate with the team
  • You will be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook
  • Individuals with the highest levels of energy, determination, and tenacity are a must
