The primary role of the Artwork Coordinator is to liaise with internal and external customers, suppliers, design agencies, repro companies, retailers and the production team.
Role:
- To assist in offering input and advice to Customers, Design Agencies and Reprographic companies for designs which begin as design concepts and Artwork and then have to be colour separated and converted into high resolution proofs before printing plate production.
- To assist in sourcing origination materials within the strategic procurement framework using preferred suppliers.
- To assist in effectively managing Origination Lead-Times to ensure that designs launch on time to minimise disruption and costs.
- To assist in ensuring that new and repeat plates are catalogued and issued from a controlled library, ensuring that new and existing designs are adequately stored and issued to minimise damage and cost and that redundant designs are removed on a regular manageable basis.
- To assist in ensuring new designs are technically specified to ensure that designs are originated to customer specifications through the most suitable and profitable conversion process and BOM generation.
