Role Purpose

The Paid Media Strategist and Team Lead is the senior strategic and operational lead for paid media delivery within their pod. Reporting into the Marketing Services Manager, this role is accountable for ensuring campaigns drive measurable commercial outcomes, clients experience a consistently high standard of service, and the pod operates efficiently and profitably. While the majority of clients within this pod will be paid media focused, this role is designed to evolve. As Prosperwell continues expanding its Search and AI Discovery services and Website Design and Development offering, this strategist will develop into a broader Marketing Strategist and Team Lead. You will remain the primary strategic lead and relationship owner for your clients. Where a client requires support beyond paid media, whether Search and AI visibility or website development, you will diagnose the need, shape the recommendation, and coordinate with the appropriate internal specialist. The SEO Manager or Web team will execute the work, but you retain strategic oversight and client ownership. This is therefore not simply a paid media leadership role. It is a pathway into full marketing strategy leadership, requiring commercial awareness, cross service thinking, and the ability to connect performance channels into a cohesive growth plan for each client.

About Prosperwell

Prosperwell is redefining how sales and marketing works in the UK social care sector. We help the country’s leading care organisations grow sustainably so they can continue delivering exceptional care to families who need it most. As the UK’s leading specialist sales and marketing agency for care providers, and the first agency to sweep every major care marketing award in a single year, we have built our reputation through discipline, expertise, and a relentless focus on outcomes. We invest heavily in our people, our systems, and our standards. You will be supported to do your best work, challenged to grow, and trusted to lead with autonomy and accountability.

Our Core Values

  • Striving for Excellence: We hold ourselves to exceptionally high standards and take pride in delivering work that genuinely moves the needle.
  • Humility and Collaboration: We value open, honest communication and believe the best outcomes come from learning together and challenging ideas constructively.
  • Positive and Energetic: We believe great work happens in an environment that is encouraging, supportive, and enjoyable.
  • Problem Solving: We take ownership, act decisively, and approach challenges with a solutions first mindset.
  • Efficient: We work systematically, build repeatable processes, and focus on doing the right work well rather than more work poorly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Paid Media Strategy and Delivery Leadership: Own the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of paid media delivery across your pod. Provide strategic oversight of campaigns, ensuring activity aligns with client objectives, budgets, and agreed KPIs. Translate performance data into commercially grounded recommendations that drive measurable outcomes. Identify risks and opportunities early and guide the team on corrective or growth actions.
  • Client Experience, Retention and Strategic Communication: Own client retention across your pod, taking proactive action to protect at risk accounts and strengthen long term partnerships. Build trusted advisor relationships by deeply understanding each client’s business objectives, pressures, and growth targets. Ensure every client interaction is strategic and outcome-focused rather than purely report-driven. Drive a consistently high Net Promoter Score by delivering a client experience that feels proactive, commercially sharp, and genuinely supportive. Confidently lead performance conversations, challenge assumptions where necessary, and reset expectations when required. Identify early signs of dissatisfaction or misalignment and intervene decisively to restore confidence and momentum.
  • Commercial and Operational Ownership: Own a clear revenue target across your pod and take responsibility for performance against monthly and quarterly goals. Proactively identify and lead upsell and cross-sell opportunities within your client portfolio, presenting relevant next step recommendations based on performance and objectives. Maintain visibility of your commercial pipeline across accounts, including referrals and introductions from satisfied clients. Balance quality of delivery with efficiency and margin, ensuring growth does not compromise standards. Track and report on account growth and risk, including upsells, budget increases, and retention threats.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and develop Paid Media Account Managers and Executives within your pod. Set clear expectations around standards, accountability, and performance. Provide structured feedback and development support to enable progression. Confidently manage performance challenges and capability gaps where required. Create an environment where ownership, commercial thinking, and continuous improvement are the norm.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Strong experience in paid media strategy, with the ability to interpret performance beyond surface-level metrics.
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring others in a delivery-focused environment.
  • Commercial awareness and comfort working to revenue targets, KPIs, and efficiency metrics.
  • Confident communicator able to influence clients and colleagues and lead challenging conversations professionally.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution and prioritisation.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership for outcomes rather than tasks.
  • Experience within an agency environment is strongly preferred.
