Prospero Teaching is looking for a Year 6 Primary Teacher for an Ofsted Good Primary school in South Bristol. The school is a popular two‑form entry mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The position is open to both NQTs and experienced teachers. Depending on performance, the school may extend the contract or offer a permanent position.

  • Position: Year 6 Primary Teacher
  • Type of work: Class Teacher – planning, preparation, marking, parents evenings, etc.
  • Contract start date: 20/04/2026
  • Duration: Fixed term to July
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Employment: Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay: GBP 140 per day
  • Hours: 8:30 am – 4 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Responsibilities

  • Planning, preparing, marking and teaching Year 6 pupils.
  • Running and organising parents’ evenings.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely record keeping.
  • Co‑operating with colleagues and senior leadership to support school improvement.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year Key Stage 2 teaching experience in the UK.
  • Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the last year.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child‑barred DBS certificate registered on the online update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
