We are seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Andover, supporting children in Reception (Year R). This is a full-time, long-term role ideal for someone passionate about early years education and supporting young learners with a range of needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to Reception pupils, helping them settle into school routines and access learning
- Assist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and play-based learning activities
- Support children with social, emotional, and communication development
- Help maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support strategies
- Assist with personal care and sensory needs where required
Requirements:
- Experience working with early years or Reception-aged children
