This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the final year of primary school, supporting academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and developing confidence and independence.
Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality teaching across the Year 6 curriculum
- Planning and differentiating lessons to meet diverse learning needs
- Supporting pupils with behaviour, focus and emotional regulation
- Implementing strategies for pupils with additional or complex needs
- Preparing pupils for transition to secondary school
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to pupils and leadership
- Maintaining a positive, safe and structured classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Have experience teaching Year 6, ideally with pupils with additional needs
- Be confident managing a class with diverse behavioural and learning requirements
- Be adaptable, resilient and able to maintain high expectations
- Have knowledge of SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD or learning difficulties (desirable)
- Be committed to helping pupils reach their academic potential and develop life skills
