Location: Rochdale (OL11)

Pay: 140 - 240 per day

Start: ASAP / Ongoing

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the final year of primary school, supporting academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and developing confidence and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality teaching across the Year 6 curriculum
  • Planning and differentiating lessons to meet diverse learning needs
  • Supporting pupils with behaviour, focus and emotional regulation
  • Implementing strategies for pupils with additional or complex needs
  • Preparing pupils for transition to secondary school
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback to pupils and leadership
  • Maintaining a positive, safe and structured classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have experience teaching Year 6, ideally with pupils with additional needs
  • Be confident managing a class with diverse behavioural and learning requirements
  • Be adaptable, resilient and able to maintain high expectations
  • Have knowledge of SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD or learning difficulties (desirable)
  • Be committed to helping pupils reach their academic potential and develop life skills
