Teaching Assistant

Location: Milnrow

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Pay: Β£103.95-Β£110 per day

Start Date: January

Your Role as a Year 5 Teaching Assistant

  • Provide support across core subjects within the Year 5 classroom
  • Work 1:1 with pupils who require additional help
  • Assist in adapting activities to suit different learning needs and abilities
  • Encourage positive participation, focus and confidence in lessons
  • Support the class teacher with learning resources, planning and daily routines
  • Contribute to a calm, safe and inclusive school environment

We\’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children or young people (school, tutoring, youth work, childcare, coaching all welcome)
  • A proactive, patient and supportive approach
  • Ability to build strong positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Previous school-based experience is beneficial, but not essential. We welcome applications from graduates and individuals looking to start a rewarding career in education.
