Prospero Teaching is excited to be working with a one-form entry Primary School in Gosport, and we\’re on the lookout for a passionate Key Stage 2 Teacher (Year 5) to join their team.

This is a fixed-term role starting in September and running through to the Christmas break. You\’d be in the classroom Monday to Friday from 08:00am – 16:00pm (may vary slightly), taking on planning duties and possibly attending one parents\’ evening.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum.

  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and active participation.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents.

  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the diverse learning needs of students.

  • Use a variety of resources and techniques to cater to different learning styles.

  • Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and school leadership to promote the success of all students.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practice

Contract Details:

  • Location: Gosport

  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Position: KS2 Primary Teacher – Year 5

  • Contract Type: Fixed Term up until Christmas

  • Hours: Full-time (8:00 am – 4:00 pm, including parent evenings)

  • Pay Rate: From 150 – 251.71 per day

Candidate Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Two recent professional references in child-related roles.
