Prospero Teaching is looking for a Year 3 Primary Teacher for a nurturing and inclusive Primary school in South Croydon. The school is a great one-form entry mainstream Primary School with a caring and approachable senior leadership team, thriving and committed to supporting every member of staff through high-quality training and professional development opportunities. The position is only open to qualified and experienced teachers. Depending on performance, the school has a view to extend the contract or offer a permanent position.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
- Location - South Croydon
- Position - Year 3 Primary Teacher
- Type of work - Class Teacher - planning, preparation, marking, parents evenings etc
- Contract or position start date - 5th January 2026
- Duration / Likely Duration - until end of the academic year July 2026
- Contract or position end date (if applicable) - July 2026 with a view to extend to the end of academic year 2026/27 for the right teaching professional
- Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary
- Full time/part time - Part Time (3 days per week, Weds-Fri)
- Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP180 per day (depending on MPS)
- Hours - 8:00am - 16:00pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year Key Stage 2 teaching experience in the UK
- Strong KS2 national curriculum knowledge
- Strong behaviour management
- Extensive SEN/EAL experience
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
