We are working on behalf of a welcoming and nurturing First School to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate primary teacher who is committed to delivering engaging, high-quality learning during this crucial stage of a child's education.
The Role
- Full class responsibility for a Year 1 cohort
- Planning and delivering creative, inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Creating a positive, structured and stimulating classroom environment
- Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents/carers
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- Have experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
- Be enthusiastic, patient and child-centred in their approach
- Have a good understanding of phonics, early literacy and numeracy
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
