Prospero Teaching are recruiting a dedicated Secondary Learning Support Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 education for a learner in Wrexham.
The role would suit an adaptable educator who can support academic development while helping a young person rebuild confidence, establish positive learning routines and engage with education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured 1:1 tuition tailored to the learner
- Support core subjects according to individual needs
- Identify barriers to learning and adapt teaching methods
- Plan engaging lessons and appropriate resources
- Encourage participation and independent learning
- Build a supportive and consistent learning environment
- Record progress and communicate relevant updates
Requirements
- Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners
- Strong subject knowledge in at least one core subject
- Experience delivering personalised learning support desirable
- Ability to engage learners who may be struggling in education
- Patient, flexible and proactive approach
- SEND experience advantageous
- QTS, PGCE or relevant tutoring experience desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional child-related references
